TEA ROOM - Tartan Tea House

On our last day of our trip to Canada this summer, we decided to visit a tea room before we headed back to the airport. The closest one near our location was the Tartan Tea Room in Bedford, Nova Scotia.

There is no way to miss this tea room from the street. It’s bright blue exterior makes it stand out above all the other buildings around. It oozed with charm!

The chiming bell on the door announced our arrival. We were instantly greeted by the sweetest woman, the owner of the tea room I assumed.

We were disappointed when we found out that there was a reserved party scheduled that day and they were not accepting walk-in guests. But since most of the party guests had not yet arrived, this warm and friendly lady gave us permission to look around the tea room, which we freely did with much pleasure.

This adorable tea room was decked out with a ton of gorgeous vintage tea cups and teapots, tea party hats, teacup candles, Victorian figurines and pictures. Beautiful antique furniture filled the rooms and lovely chandeliers hanging over the tables gave it even more eye appeal. A tea lovers dream house!

We didn’t get to taste the food that day, but the atmosphere alone makes the Tartan Tea House a must stop if you visit Nova Scotia.
